Microdermabrasion
This is a facial exfoliation procedure in which the skin is "sandblasted" with ultra fine crystals of aluminium-oxide that pass through a vacuum tube. The crystals gently abrade the skin surface, removing dead skin cells, smoothing out imperfections and stimulating new cell growth.
Microdermabrasion also assists with reducing pigmentation, refining lines and scars and clearing clogged pores. It is an excellent treatment for teenage acne and acne rosacea.
Microdermabrasion treatments are usually performed in a series of 4 to 6 sessions spaced two weeks apart and combined with an 'at home' skin care regime.
